Strategic advisory for the CIO to consolidate and develop the IT organization

A newly formed IT organization requires assistance fostering unity and optimizing cooperation among employees and teams.

Actions Consulting to intensify and strengthen collaboration within the IT leadership team and to anchor leadership principles. implementing suitable team-building and change measures. Providing advice on developing a medium-term IT strategy for the company at group level.

Results Leadership principles were defined and communicated. A collaboration model was established, setting out the roles and responsibilities of each department. A medium-term change concept was adopted and implemented.

IT Carve-out of a Building Technology company

Partial divestment of a business unit of a German headquartered, multinational corporation, with the aim of establishing an independent operation following the carve-out.

Actions Served as a member of an IT project management team and interim CIO responsible for separating all IT applications and infrastructure, and establishing an independent, international IT organization Defined the future target organization (TOM) with focus on structure, procedures and make-or-buy strategy. Supported the selection and hiring of key IT positions worldwide, including the CIO position.

Results A successful divesture, followed by robust and functional IT operations.

IT Post-Merger Integration for a German Mining Industry company

A German mining company acquired shares in a US-based underground equipment supplier and integrated them with existing company structures.

Actions Developed an IT application architecture and outlined a detailed implementation roadmap. Acted in a PMO capacity, overseeing international teams during the migration of critical ERP systems. Advised C-level executives on ERP integration strategies and the establishment of an effective IT organization.

Results Achieved a smooth migration of ERP systems to the target environment. Simplified the integration of additional acquisition targets after the initial buyout.
